Jody you are on right now. I haven't been able to read my PMs. The system times out. I can read any post I would like to.

It is now 10:30 AM, and I started wanting to read my PMs this morning at 7:00 AM.

Please, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Leigh,

I wonder if anyone else is having this problem. I believe this is not a problem related to the service for the board. Yours is the only time I have heard of a problem now. Is it possible you could login with another computer or better yet, a different ISP like a library? My thinking is that it is a local problem somehow. I know it sounds strange, but it's all I can offer. Please let me know if you get this problem with another ISP and computer. Meantime, if anyone else is having this problem today let me know.

Hi David,

You are on now. (1:35 PM my time.) I'm still having trouble with my PMs. For me to drive to a public type, or other computer, is a 20 minute drive, no matter whcih place I go. Is there any way you can forward the PMs to me via my email?

Hi Leigh,

Have you tried shutting down your computer and rebooting? Sometimes that will magically solve the strangest problems! ::fairies

Private messages are just that - private - so .. we'll just have to hope the problem resolves and you'll be able to access them. Meanwhile, you know who sent them, right? (if you receive email notification of PM's?) Maybe you can email those people directly?

If anyone else is having a similar problem - please let us know!

Email notices of PMs? I have no idea who the three are that sent me PMs.

David..you are on now..can you tell me if I listed a gmail account or an aol account when I signed on? I might be able to find these email notices of PMs.

Leigh, when you click on your profile you can see the email address you used when you registered to the forum. Your notification of PM's is automatically sent to that address. :exactly:

Thank you Jody and David. I went to my email..adn found the messages..it is a gmail account, which helps. I clicked on one of the emails that said it was a PM, and it took me right into my PM =mailbox. Everything worked perfectly from there. So, now I now what to do.

I did reboot the computer a few times today, to get to the PM mailbox, but, the rebooting didn't work.

But, anyway..I learned a thing or two today. Leigh

And, soon after my post to you, I clicked on the link, and it took me right to the mailbox from the forum.

Computers are mysterious. I'm glad somebody understands them. I'm very happy when mine works.:)

Hi Jody and David,

Neither of you are on right now. Ok Micheals sent me an PM. I can not access it from the forum, and now I can not access it from my email. It is 10:30 PM central time now.

I'm going to post on theABE forum..for him to email me at my email address, so I least know what he says..especially since he is going through something.

Hopeflly this will be better tomorrow. Or later tonight.

Leigh, MichaelS has an email listed in his profile that any member can see. You could email him there and ask him to contact you. That would be better than doing it on the open Forum. I don't know why you are having this trouble accessing your PM's... I hope the computer fairies of the Universe clear it up soon!

I don't know why I didn't think to look to see if he had an email listed. My brain is a bit fried today anyway...a few strange things have happened today. Some of them amazing..others...well neutral.
