Last night, Jerry and Esther went o bed early. And Esther filled out the breakfast card and went to sleep. Half an hour later, the phone in their room rang. Not her cell phone but the phone in the room which shouldn’t be ringing at all. She sat up in bed, and her first thought was, it must be room service who has a question about the order. Who else would call?

So she went downstairs from the loft, opened the door to see if the card was still there, and it was. And then she thought, I wonder if I wrote the room number on the card. And she looked. And she hadn’t. So she had put her breakfast card out for breakfast that she really wanted at a timely time in the morning, but she had failed to write the room number on the card. She grinned from ear to ear. She doesn’t know who called. It doesn’t matter. The progression of thought led her to the door so she could put her number on the card, which made for a much more breakfast morning.

Now people could make fun of something like that. But we’re not making fun because we know that the universe will yield to you through the crack of least resistance the answers to everything you need. And isn’t your life nothing more than experiences like that, experiences like that, experiences like that? IOW, the times you rendezvous with your mate and the things you talk about has everything to do with where you are in relation to your vortex, and nothing to do with anything else.

When you get it that your work is just to chill, and we’ve spent quite a bit of time here—you sat down, began to talk, and we jumped in right in the middle of your conversation and asked you not to go any further, and everything else we’re talking about is vortex, vortex, vortex, feeling good, feeling good, letting go. Because that is the work. That is the only work.

But then, it is so helpful to notice—IOW, Esther almost woke Jerry up to tell him the good news that the universe had taken her down there and shown her she hadn’t put the room number on—do you know how good that made her feel? Do you know how worthy that made her feel? Do you know how successful and effective her life then felt
