I remember that first moment I got a glimspe of Twilight beach in Esperance, Western Australia. We were in the car, and I looked out the window to see a vision from a postcard. It was a 'wow look at THAT moment.' The white sand. The colour of the water. It was mind boggling beautiful, and I was in the vortex to appreciate it fully. And the moment was made even better by the fact that it was a perfect summer's day, nice and hot, not a cloud in the brilliant blue sky. We eagerly found a car park so we could hit the surf. I restrained myself long enough to take a photo before heading down the steps to the beach. And once in the water the visibility for snorkelling and observing the curious fish that were swimming around us was pure delight. Of all the beaches I have seen in Australia, and we have incredible beaches in every state, Twilight beach, in my humble opinion, is by far the best.
