The honour was granted by the UNESCO World Heritage Committee last Sunday...

02 July, 2012 -Last Sunday, 1 July , Rio de Janeiro was awarded the World Heritage status, in the urban cultural landscape category. It is the first time an entire city has been recognised with this honour granted by UNESCO (United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisation). Its candidature was approved during the 36th Session of the World Heritage Committee held in Saint Petesburg, in Russia.



I love to enjoy ice cream and looking up to the Cporcovado

One of the most enjoyable experiences in Brazil is tasting the unbelievable variety of sherbets, popsicles, and ice creams made with tropical fruits, such as cashews...

and - my favorite!!! - pitanga...



And, of course, coconut, avocado, peanuts, and corn...

and where we enjoy all this deliscious ice cream?
at the "Beijo Carioca"



Carioca means the cityzens of Rio... and Beijo means kiss...

I love and trust my IB to bring me the right things
the right places and right people at the right time

To be true: I have since some time a love affair with my IB

as a joung girl I came together with my familly to Rio
it was an amazing moment:

I remember our ship coming from Amsterdam and in the early morning by sunrise... I saw the silhoute of some mountains in the wide distance over the sea... Brazil


since this moment...



my heart is beating for Brazil...

I love my friends and I love to show them Rio...
after our ice cream and some refreshments

we start again to the fashion boutiques

I love the tropical touch of Brazilian fashion
I have to explain: after my Art school
I become a fashion designer at a fashion school
in Düsseldorf

so I really appreciate fashion and the Brazil fashion
is creative and an explosion in colours

and than we fly to Paraty...

and here we go to Barra da Tijuca
after 90 kilometers coming to the Island of Jaguanum

I remember the time
when we went outside Rio on sunday morning...
our joung doughter sitting behind in the car
driving the Avenida Viera Souto into south
taking the Avenida Oscar Niemayer
the Vidigal beach on the left side with the Sheraton



driving the highway to Joá

the windows of the car all open and the wind blowing in my hair
it was 36 degrees in the morning and it woul go up to 42 degrees later...



again Joá Highway going to the south from Rio
it is constructed in two levels





and there are amzing villas from cariocas millionairs on the cliffs



so many amazing places to live...
after one hour drive we came to "Prainha" a small beach
only surfers and nature...
