Moon rising on the French Riviera

Last night, I watched the moon rise beside the nearby cathedral tower while attending a jasmine festival, where we spectators had all been sprayed with scented jasmine water by the fire department and were catching thousands of flowers thrown to us by the young people on the flowered floats, boogieing on the top row of the bleachers with a 4-year-old girl named Margo and her 3-year-old sister Isabelle, whom I'd just met, to the frenetic drums accompanying the carnival dancers in their resplendent Rio-style ensembles, interspersed with ragtime groups, women dressed as giant jasmine blossoms covered in twinkling lights, traditional Provencal farandole-ists dancing to fife, drum, and tambourine, street theater acts with huge bubble-blowing machines, and Mexican dance troupes. Then the crepe-paper rascals - people dressed as walking walnuts with funky Mad Max-style machines strewing streamers high into the trees and over the crowd - paraded past and covered us in crinkly white paper strips and then made a giant paper snowball for the crowd to toss around.

And the sun came up again this morning!!

I am totally in on this how-good-it-is party, Evey!!

this is at one of 'my' beaches

I'm in on this how good is it party too!
Last night I went to a perfect party, laughed, talked, noticed driftwood, ate lovely food, drank raspberry lemonade (YUM!).....took my secateurs and headlamp with me so I could cut some pussy willow branches on the way home (inner nudge reminded me there is a willow near my friends' house) I slept in this morning, went for a delicious walk, spent the whole day feeling GOOD.
Now it's late, the moon is up, the sun is down.....all is well in my world

Thank for the pics you feather friends. Never underestimate the power of appreciating that the sun came up. If you can see it, awesome, go outside, feel the grass. Feel the wellbeing. There is a power in appreciation. So much wellbeing.
