Talking Manifesting for my son's room!

Lance is so excited that he will finally have a son (he has two daughters from a previous relationship) that he wants to be solely in charge of decorating Taj's nursery! I am rapt that this project means so much to him, so I'm letting him go for it!
My tax return this year will cover the cost of flooring, curtains and paint for the room. One of Lance's workmates sold him a near-new cot, mattress in excellent condition, change table with mat (also in top condition), as well as a bunch of toys (out of which I have found a couple I really like and will keep for Taj) for $50!!! Another of his workmates GAVE us a pram (three-wheeler! I've always wanted one of those!!) and a bunch of baby clothes!! The pram is great, I figure it will come in handy when Taj is a bit bigger, as I'm very keen to wear him as much as possible while he's still small (which probably won't be for too long, given the size of Lance and myself as babies, lol!).
The rest of the furniture is sorted - I have an antique washstand for extra storage, that's been sitting at my Dad's work since I moved out of my last home (there's just been nowhere to put it, here, until now), as well as the set of drawers from our room will be put in Taj's room, to keep clothes and modern cloth nappies, etc in. I also have an antique dresser at Dad's, which will now come into our bedroom. Yay!
I've been wanting to get my hands on a rocking chair, too, to feed Taj at night (or whenever, I suppose). My Dad has one, that is very special to him. He keeps it in his home office (which is Dad's sacred space!) and it belonged to my Grandfather. Grandpa always wanted a rocking chair, but it had to be "just right" and he knew he would one day find the right chair. He did, in 1988, when he & Grandma lived here, in Australia, for a little while. Grandpa passed in 1990, so Dad kept the chair. I thought I'd broach the topic with Dad, yesterday, to see if he would be happy to lend me the chair, just while Taj is very young and having lots of night feeds, then I'd return Dad his rocker. Dad said no, as he uses it a lot and I was fine with that.
This morning, I made myself an abundance grid (I've been making them for everything lately, lol!!). Dad just phoned, about 10 minutes ago, to tell me he would loan me the chair!! He said he wasn't really thinking, yesterday, when I asked him, then this morning, my 13 year old sister said to him, "Why did you say no, Dad?" and Dad said, "I don't know really!". Dad said Grandpa would be happy with what I'm using the chair for, so I feel just elated right now!!

Emmy, your post made me so happy tonight. Before I had my first son, my Mom, Mom-in-law and sister-in-law went antique shopping for his room. We actually didn't know it was "HIS" room yet. S-I-L even bought an antique rocking horse that she refurbished as a surprise. Today, a very dear friend brought his two-year old by for a visit while he and hubby did some household chores together. Watching the little guy run around the house, play with the dogs, and know exactly how to pull up photos and videos of him from "Auntie" Dawn's Iphone (the little ones coming in are cable ready, of course!) completely warmed my heart. His Mom reminded me of Me, before I discovered Abe, worried that he shouldn't be crawling on the furniture, annoying the dogs, etc. I was encouraging him to "be you!" take this time to remember! I put on his little hat, and he said "Aunt Dawn Crazy!" And this from a child who doesn't talk much at all, and when he does, it's usually in Chinese since Mom spends the most time with him and she's better at Mandarin than English.

Enjoy the time with your little Taj, Emmy. Encourage him to be Taj!
