How important is EXPECTATION in the creative process?

How important is EXPECTATION in the creative process?

I know feeling good is a big part of it, but what role does expectation play?

Expectation- deliberatly or by default- is ALL of it.
Feeling good not so much, because you create all the time, even if you donīt like what you create. Thatīs "creation by default".

Abe said recently "You donīt create the manifestation (that FILLS IN TO YOUR GRID).
You create your point of attraction."

So, you set the tone, the grid, the energy for what can come to you.
You always get what you expect, no matter if you expect it willingly or not, or if you even realize that you expect it.

Your always get what equals your vibration, your "point of attraction".
If you want to like what youīr getting, than "feeling good" aka setting good feeling grids comes into the game.

A reminder for you, ease ... The CREATIVE process consists of three steps:

    1) You ASK - and you can't help asking, because the asking is born of the contrast. You ask all the time, whether you are consciously aware of it or not.

    2) It is GIVEN, precisely and without exception. The Universe orchestrates and brings together all cooperative components in answer to your asking. This part is not your job. And with this, the actual CREATING part is DONE. And there is no "mis-creation", the Universe does not screw up. And neither can you.

    3) You ALLOW that which you have asked for and created via the path of least resistance. And the way that path of least resistance and the physical manifestation FEEL to you depends on how you PREDOMINANTLY FEEL. This is where Expectation comes in. When you are feeling SINCERE Positive Expectation/Belief, you are in a place of Allowing with relative Ease those things that you desire, that have ALREADY BEEN CREATED, and are now waiting for you to ALLOW them to move into your experience. Or rather, are waiting for you to ALLOW YOURSELF to perceive them by virtue of your habits of thought and focus.

So you don't necessarily have to specifically expect whatever it is that you have conjured to come to you immediately and easily, although that helps. If you GENERALLY maintain a feeling of Positive Expectation with thoughts like, "Things are ALWAYS working out for me. All is TRULY Well. Nothing ever goes wrong. The Universe has my back, every single second of the day. I can't get anything wrong. The better it gets, the better it gets" etc., then your life will run very, very smoothly and Joyfully.

    Hope this helps!

I notice that you're asking SO many questions but none of them are really practical application -- it's all theoretical. So that's my question -- to what extent are you applying these questions to your own life? What's going on with your own application of what Abe is teaching?

@POE, Thanks for your nice explanation.

@CC, hey I like your general statements of positive expectation, they can be applied to most areas.

@Marc, yes I know what you mean, I do ask a lot of questions.
I think its because I don't seem to have any big issues going on in my experience lately, I'm finding it a good time to improve my understandings of these wonderful teachings even more.
Some of Abrahams terminology and explanations sometimes confuse me with other teachings I have followed in the past, so having the opportunity to ask questions and get wonderful answers from yourself and other forum members is really good for me.

But yes, you're right, the theory is not so important, its the application that is so much more important, when its fully understood.

    Thanks again everyone

Without positive expectation it is really difficult to feel good about the desire. Yes, you can create your grid on another subject but it is so delicious to be specifically focused on a strong desire without resistance. I find it addicting.

Abe speaks of "fresh new desires" that are not yet touched by the negatives of waiting, longing and doubt (I am paraphrasing).

I love launching a new rocket of desire and riding it; staying with it and not allowing doubts to creep in; just keeping my focus on the prize and not the how or when and then watching the Universe bend over backwards to make it happen.

I deliberately manage my expectation (positive expectation/optimism) as much as I manage my feelings in general. I give expectation a great deal of attention if I feel like it is even beginning to loose its sweetness.

It works for me. My life is beyond my wildest dreams of just a few years ago and continually getting better.

    Here's what I remember from a Abe's video:

The only way to get your expectation from where you are to where you want to be is to spend more time in the Vortex, more time talking about what you want and why you want it ...and less time noticing what IS happening.
