    Question Sleeping to much

    Hello everyone,
Iīm new here so please excuse any of my mistakes. Iīm not a complete newbie to Abrahamīs teachings - I found them about 3 years ago and they have changed my life a lot. I know there is so much more that I want to learn and apply to my life, so thatīs why Iīm here
There is one thing that I donīt know what to do with.. and that is sleep. I get sleepy very easily and have the need to sleep even during the day. Doesnīt matter if I slept for 10 hours or more, I still have this need to sleep. Please, donīt get me wrong, I loooove sleep very much and itīs my favourite activity however I donīt want to spend all my freetime with sleeping. I feel like Iīm wasting my time and I would rather use my time to do something useful or at least just be awaken and sleep only at night.
I was trying to do something with that but I cannot get rid of that feeling of being tired and sleepy during the day. I went through many threads here and couldnīt find any realated topic; in fact I found the opposite - mainly problems with falling asleep or how to sleep less; for me it would be just enough to sleep at night and donīt have this urgent need to sleep in the morning or in the afternoon. And I know that sleeping means resistance but still donīt know how to help myself with it..
Thank you for any replies and I hope this could also help other people with similar problem.

Well as far as I understand. You sleep more when you have more resistance yes. But you said that The reason being that you might be bored or dissatisfied with looking at reality. And as you know sleeping puts you into the vortex. ( not that you are aware of it ) so by sleeping you regain life energy.
So if you want to sleep less or be more awake. Well get happier. You are not tired on xmas morning, or when you are excited about something new. This is the very same reason, you are happy enough not to need sleeping because you allow more life energy when happy.

I would soothe that anyway though. Sleeping is only natural and its on your side. Its trying to keep you happy. Do you dream perhaps ? If you do you could ponder more what you dreamed because that can also tell you what you are vibrating. Try and remember how you felt in your dreams.

Your physical body does show you your resistance. Someone who feels scared to speak their mind might suffer laryngitis for example. But while its possible to change your body's reactions to your resistance by raising your vibration you might find more relief by visiting a doctor. AND continue to raise your vibration as you feel able.

For example I had a terrible sinus infection. I know it was due to not feeling good about my job but my body was ill and in need of attention. I know if I dont relieve stress by feeling better about my job I will get sick again. But being sick and working was too much. I saw the doctor and got antibiotics. Now I can concentrate on feeling better about my job instead of just feeling sick.

I mention this because you yourself are concerned about how much you want to sleep and seem to believe that your desire to sleep is not normal. It might be as simple as taking a vitamin supplement. Or addressing a food intolerance issue. Or even retraining your circadian rhythum. -never could spell that word.

Taking action to address your physical issues can help you address your resistance by slowing momentum and get off the topic.

There is an Abraham- youtube- clip (I dont know if itīs still out there, it was called "I love sleeping" or something like that), where Abe soothed a Hotseater who described a problem as yours.
Sleeping serves fantastically to soothe resistance, and indeed, Abe teach it. Stop worrying about it! Just ENJOY it, and your resistance will go away.
Also, there is nothing as a "norm" of how much (or less) sleep would be "appropriate": Our desires vary, and thatīs a very good thing.

Who getīs to decide what "meaningful" means, to you? Maybe you want to "eat" this life-experience in small, very well balanced bites?
Maybe you enjoy wandering the "different worlds of reality"? Sleep-world IS reality, too. And you can get not only great refreshment and soothing there, but also fantastic thrilling experience and guidance.

As always, the answer is: DONīT look and hype what you donīt want!
And donīt listen to the peanut-gallery who THINK they would know better than you- they donīt!
Make peace with where you are, and then focus on what you would prefer.

You are right that the answer might be "so easy" and I would never advice to NOT go to a doctor, if someone has health-issues or is simply drawn to go.

BUT- letīs leave the horse before the cart, and say, that the ALIGNMENT of energy /vibration comes by FAR before the vitamin supplements and yadda yadda.

You've received wonderful suggestions of solutions so far.

I'm curious: being aware of these teachings for 3 years and knowing that resistance creates the experience of fatigue, what have you done to release resistance? All the Processes release resistance, so which are your favorites? Which ones "work" for you? I ask these questions because I don't hear how you've addressed this vibrational question vibrationally. Let us know.

Thank you so much for your responses, I am very grateful for them!

Tenshi: You get the point - my oversleeping started like three years ago when I slowly began to be dissatisfied with my first job. I also had some health issues (I believe they came only just from my dissatisfaction with that job), so after a half year I decided to leave. But the thing that I absolutely didnīt expect was that I wouldnīt be able to find another job and I was unemployed for more than one year. I was unhappy with this situation and often went to bed just to "kill the time". But now I have a job I enjoy very much and feel really good about my life (to be honest every day I feel better and better), so I donīt understand why the need for sleep stays.

Misou: I have regular medical checks and everything seems normal with me. The reason that I do not want to go to some specialist is that I believe when you look hard for some health problem you will eventually find it and of course, I donīt want that.
And yes I believe that to much sleep is not normal - there is no one I know who sleeps as much as I do.. Moreover I live with my brother and he often criticises me about sleeping during the day, he repeats how abnormal it is and it makes him angry as well. I was trying not to listen to him but I guess his opinion got under my skin..

Paradise on Earth: Thank you for the videos you recommended me. I was listening to the Teaching? Cool/ Chronic Fatigue?!?!? Never Say yesterday and would love to hear the I love sleeping one. I will do my best to find it.
That is totally true but I still cannot help and feel guilty about my sleep. I would love to do many things in my free time but often I just go to bed and sleep as I cannot resist it. For example I have two or three spare hours in the afternoon and I would like to visit my mum/go shopping/etc but instead I just go to sleep. It would be easier if I got rid of that sleepy/tired feeling I have almost for the whole day..when Iīm home, feeling like that and knowing there is a cosy bed too I just canīt help myself..
And unfortunately I really donīt know how to make peace with this situation as Iīm really concerned about that

Well maybe because you are making the same mistake I made and recently discovered in making.
Abe said in a clip that some of us, after feeling horrible about our job or whatever find that just feeling content in our new place of feeling is so much better to us that we tend to think that is enough.
You really do not want to go back to THAT place of hating your job that this job is amazing in retrospect. BUT ! Until you are not in the HIGH loving your job vibration you will attract sub par results. And that means boredom that requires sleep

Remember you stood up as a kid because Christmas morning was exhilarating ! OH BOY ! WHAT WILL I GET !
Not well I guess I'll get something good. I usually get something good. Maybe sleep right now is more exciting than my usual presents I get.

Wellbeing, three years is long time, I know that very well and I feel ashamed that I didnīt do better.. There are so many amazing people who could do wonderful things after short time of knowing Abe but Iīm not one of them. I donīt have any good excuse for that, probably I had been sloppy and mostly focused on the theoretical part but not so much to the practical one.
About this resistance - Iīm not sure what I should do with it.. Which processes are for releasing resistance? I tried focus wheel, meditation (which only made me wanting to sleep more), placemat..
